Confirmed: Disney's Twilight Zone Tower of Terror changing to Guardians of the Galaxy

I am extremely appalled, steamed, furious about this. The last great attraction at DCA is getting a cheap makeover only for the purpose to make a multi billion dollar company a few extra bucks. This kinda s**t makes me sick to my stomach.

The ToT held a very special place in my heart.

At least the real tower of terror isn't going anywhere.

The FL version? It's only a matter of time before the geniuses at Disney gut it out for a money-making IP. They want to incorporate Marvel into more of their theme parks.

I shouldn't let this bother me, but my god i'm sick to my stomach. I asked Disneyland customer service for contact info on whomever is in charge of the parks (bob iger?). Us loyal Disney fans, at the very least, deserve an explanation as to why we're losing one of the best rides at Disneyland.

Disney owns ABC. The Twilight Zone franchise rights are owned by CBS. Makes no sense to pay a competitor.

Just got back from Disneyland yesterday. Didn't go on Tower of Terror but gotta say they did a great job with Cars Land.

You can see the influence of not only Marvel but also Star Wars all over Disneyland, California Adventure, and Disney Downtown. It's all marketing and if it'll attract more visitors then they'll do it. Just a matter of time before all the original rides get makeovers. I wonder what they'll turn the Dumbo ride into?

It's disgusting. Space Mountain was already taken over by Star Wars. Marvel and Star Wars are all we see, and now they want to change the most popular attraction at DCA!? BS

Wallets talk. If the change goes through, i'm done with Disney.

Disney World is far better than Disneyland.

Tower of Terror is staying at Hollywood Studios from what I found. Whew.

yes but some people, myself included, can't really afford a trip up to florida. (must be the car payments lol). Instead, we drive to CA where we get a cut rate version of the tower, but it's still the tower damnit.

For now. This change to DCA could very well trickle down to Florida's version. Thing is, Disney may not want to pay for the twilight zone anymore. I wouldn't be surprised if they announced a change to floridas within a few years.
