New Synergy Green Metallic SS owner

Hello everyone. I've had searches over the years take me to this forum, and it's a pleasure now officially join up as a new 5th gen owner. This week I bought a beautiful, clean, 2011 Camaro 2SS/RS in striking Synergy Green Metallic. This color has been a favorite of my wife's ever since she first laid eye on it. I told her we'd never have one, because I mistakenly believed this was only available on the Synergy package LT in 2010. When I saw this car come up on Craigslist 6 weeks ago I couldn't believe they made it in LS3 trim until I did a little more research and learned just how rare this beautiful car is.

With just over 15,000 miles the car is in essentially perfect condition inside, outside, under the hood and underneath. It has all the "right" mods in my mind - 1 7/8" American Racing headers into a catted x-pipe into the stock exhaust. I can't believe how loud that stock exhaust gets when you stand in the throttle, 4,000rpm+ is just a glorious sound, but no deafing/droning highway cruising. Up front is a Cold Air Inductions CAI feeding a New Era ported throttle body. A 170* T-stat has been added, as has a Hurst Short Throw shifter. New Era dyno tuned the car, extracting 412rwhp and 409rwtq.

It's a true pleasure to be back in the Camaro world after a several year hiatus. Previously I've had a 1996 Z/28 Convertible 6spd car, a 1986 Berlinetta with a carbed/cam'd small block, and a 1987 IROC L98 car. It's been over 6 years since I sold the Z/28, and man what a great feeling it is to be back behind the wheel of such a fun car. The wife keeps walking out to the garage to take a peak - so I know she's happy too!

Future mods might some day include a heads/cam package of some sort, but the near future will definitely include a high volume clutch master cylinder - these cars just really don't like to be hustled through the 1-2 shift in stock configuration - GM's way of keeping the rear end and axles alive I'm sure.

I'm looking forward to getting to know some of you over the next few years!

Yea, it was on the Syracuse craigslist, it's actually still up there. http://syracuse.craigslist.org/cto/5646295475.html

I was shocked to find it, I genuinely had no idea you could get SGM in an SS, especially a manual trans. I bet there aren't very many.

I submitted my request for UpstateC5 membership - looks like a solid group.

Sell it!? You crazy! I've said that before though. I had a 2006 Dodge Charger R/T Daytona in GoManGo orange that I thought would be a "forever" car. Nope a really bad year took that one out of my hands. This one will require the next owner to pry my cold dead hands from the steering wheel!

I thought that was a pretty good deal. KBB and NADA certainly don't give it any credit for the rare color, let alone the excellent collection of mods. So, I'm way ahead and very happy with it.

Yea, I can't make sense of it really well, I've seen that "255" number thrown around, but then there is data like this suggesting closer to 1,500:

Either way, it's a pretty uncommon color, which I'm just fine with.

That's funny that you've been cruising by it for weeks. I'll definitely try to make it out to some of those shows. Do you guys just attend or are you actually showing? To be honest, I've never had a car until now that I felt was truly car show worthy, usually my stuff was more about being bad fast and not so much perfectly clean. This one is both, I can definitely feel good about putting it in a show.

The 255 number refers to the Synergy Edition which I believe in 2011 was this Scheme

Either way I'm jealous. Let me know though if you want a rare car I'll trade ya yours for my 2010 SGM V6 Manual lol. 1 of 280 in the US.
