As an aside, I suspect that the term 'clip' in the USA is a hold-over from just before and during WWII. If you read a lot of GI reports and statements from WWII, many use 'clip' to mean 'magazine'. Not all, but a fair percentage.
In the 1937 US Army world, the M1's en bloc clip was a new twist on the familiar 'stripper clip' used on the 1903 rifle but still, a clip. From then on when recruits were trained, whether on the new M1 or on a 1903, everything was clip clip clip. It seems logical to me that these soldiers naturally kept on using the term 'clip' to mean 'anything that held ammunition that you place into a small arm'. In addition, 'magazine' is such a cumbersome word we use 'mag' today. It's no wonder they sometimes used something easier to spit out, even back then.

I have a Benchmade auto with a safety. I don't know the model, but there are different numbers on either side of the blade. Really nice knife.

I have a random collection of Gerbers I've picked up over the years. I pretty much just grab whatever's sitting on the counter on my way out, or whatever's already clipped to my pocket.
Funny note, I had one that was my all time favorite, super comfortable to grip, blade stayed sharp for years. Accidentally walked onto MacDill AFB with it and had to turn it in.

I carry a Cold Steel Swift II. I don't really carry it everyday though. It wouldn't get through security when I go to work. I do carry it when I'm off though.

Just realized something about myself... I'll throw a Kimber in the mud to prove a point, but I won't carry a $400 knife because I'm afraid I'll scratch it
![]() Some of my truck knives... remember the barn scene in Twister? ![]() Cold Steel Kobun 5.5" Kershaw Speedsafe 3" Buck 326 Scholar 2" Gerber Trendy 2" USA?, because it's on my keychain I never forget it, and the quality is excellent. Good for 90% of jobs average folks need done, best toothpick size knife I've ever owned.
