Guy who owns a Corvette dies due to him not being able to open the door

^ a few wks ago at a cars and coffee there was an awesome 70 Chevelle my son (6) looked in it and got super excited he said look it has those then does the hand motion like he was rolling down the window. He never seen/noticed them previously lol I wish I had a camera

There had to be more to this story than just being locked in his car. Maybe a health issue could have attributed to his death. Either way its a tragedy.

All the C7 Corvettes have a removable top if it's the "hardtop". The picture shows a hardtop, however I don't know how long or if his model also had a removable top. I'd just take the top off the car and step over the window if I had to (though I also know where the safety latch is).

I remember when this was in the news. A Corvette expert said that car had manual unlocks at the bottoms of each of the doors.

It was a 4th gen that my little girl got stuck after the 10 minute power down. But you are correct with the double pull in the 5th gen car---epic advice...I wonder if it is power assisted?....still all cars are different and kids need to know how to get out of any car.
