Good rifle scope intended for short range and a good price? Looking to get something compact. What kind would you guys suggest? Not going to be hunting, just want to shoot further than with iron sights.

The officers there were enthusiastic, supportive, and happy I shot well. It was like I went shooting with friends.

Most LEOs are pretty supportive of gun rights in my experience.

He was the type of guy that never mentioned he was awarded the Medal of Valor. Not even positive his kids knew. I didn't know until after he died. A lot to admire about the man. US Army Airborne, decorated cop, good detective too, plus a great uncle. The bodyshop lost my prayer card that was for him and I am still steamed about that. I think I'll go get another beer now.
