2 out of 6 waved

I've been keeping track of how many people wave back at me when I'm driving the Camaro and so far it's only been one of three waving back.

'14 Camaro RS - cute girl/waved
'10 - '13 Camaro SS - dude ~ 30/waved
Late model Mustang - guy ~ 25/never looked over
late model Z06 - 50's - 60's dude/never looked over
late model Challenger - 30s - 40s driver/never looked over
and yesterday, a 10-13 Camaro LS/never looked over

All but the guy in the SS were on the highway with me and either saw me when I drove by them or when they drove by me and I watched for their reactions only ONE looked over and waved (the cute girl) the rest just stared straight ahead ignoring me and everyone else around them. The guy in the RS was head to head and actually stuck his hand out of the window to wave.

Just thought it was interesting that out of 4 Camaros, only 2 waved back. The others I guess I expected to at least get the finger (especially the Mustang) but I didn't really expect to be completely ignored.

I wonder what the other drivers entered in their wave-journal?.....

"Another Camaro driver tried to get me to wave"....????...."Already had my wave quota in, so I ignored him"....You never know....lol...

I find the motorcycle wave to be funny.

Following a motorcycle for 20+ miles on a curvy 2 lane highway on a beautiful day. Every single motorcycle that passed gave the little drop the clutch hand off the bars and stick out a couple fingers low and to the side.

The guy must have waved 30 times.

Can't say that I get many waves either..... Seems more common on the VW scene. Get lots of stares and a few thumbs up though.

I wave when I ride. I've done a few Camaro waves. It's all harmless fun.

When my dad had a Corvette in the late 60's he said that there was a Corvette wave the drivers gave to each other. I have tried waving at other Camaro drivers (here in Beijing) and have not once got a wave back. It could be cultural though, and there are only a few Camaros on the road here. When I am in the states I drive a Z4. Without fail every time I have passed by another Z4 the other drivers have always waved to me first. My wife and I had a chuckle one time in Yellowstone park the driver was waving so frantically it looked like their hand was going to fall off. Say what you will about BMW drivers, but Z4 drivers are a different breed for sure.

Yea I do wish Camaro owners would wave like Corvette owners

My dad had a C3 for his first Vette and he said that threw him when he first bought the car. Literally anyone he passed in another Vette waved, and I've noticed Harley riders wave too.

I've found that there are so many people who aren't car people that buy camaros that they don't realize what the wave is for. If it's a modded car or a car that they obviously care about they almost always wave back
