That's a pretty fantastic deal. If I was just looking for a nice DD with the occasional trip to the strip I think I would probably pick that over GM or Dodge offerings. The new stangs are really nice.

Well I would imagine $$ plays a part just like any business

If chevy can build a supercharged car and sell it for $65k with warranty there is a higher price to help if anything goes wrong.

Does that mean that a supercharged SS will not be ok? No, but it isnt worth it for chevy to cover it, especially when a 3rd party will.

My first thought when I saw this was sure it has 727hp but the clutch wont hold up for long....

One of those in white with blue over the top stripes and an Auto transmission sounds like a fun car!

Something in my gut tells me that you take a 435 hp car and just throw a stage 2 setup on it to make 727hp with no other supporting mods seems odd. If you decide you want to take it to the strip.......have a tow truck on speed dial. I will make sure I get my pass in before you

Parts Warranty on the add-ons, not your OEM equipment and not covering Labor.

Q. Is there a warranty on the LFP 727 HP Mustang?
A. 3 year, 36,000 mile parts-only limited warranty.

Ya i've seen these a while back thats definitely something to think about if your not dead set on GM. Really good price for a daily drive with the occasional run, wish GM dealers would step up to the plate. Although what throws it out the window for me is not retaining the factory warranty. If it did that i'd be much more onboard with it, but from what I read its gone and only a 3rd party warranty remains.

GM also sells parts over the counter at dealerships which will void your drivetrain warranty. Just as with Ford it is up to the buyer to decide whether the risk of installing these aftermarket parts is acceptable. That is what the dealership is doing, installing aftermarket parts. They could run the car down to the local speed shop and have them install an aftermarket blower from any OEM and it would be no different.

The warranty is strictly an aftermarket item as well. It should give a thinking man pause that Ford has the value of the entire new car sale to offset warranty costs and this warranty must be offset by the sale of the blower. So how do you greatly increase the odds of breaking the most expensive parts in the car by pushing them well in excess of of their design parameters and then offer a warranty without doing something to reduce your claims? You have to figure that warranty is full of holes and they're going to overcome the cost problem by not paying except under strictly defined circumstances that won't apply to many people.

I have spoke to Roush about these kits.

Roush was testing durability / reliability on these kits for almost a year before the SC Kits with their calibrations were released. From the engine, to the trans and IRS etc.

I am sure if someone acquires a manual transmission, throws a drag radial tire and goes to the strip launching at 4000+RPM they may be in for some trouble. However, maybe not. These newer cars and the advanced electronics, they can be tuned to save the engine and drivetrain.

On that note, I want a 6th Gen Auto with a TVS

I'm fine with that I turn wrenches for a living. Anyway I'm not saying it's the car for me. I do think it's a fantastic deal for someone. You could also think of it as a really inexpensive HIPO starter kit and mod from there.

The ZL1 is a complete model/trim of the Camaro that originally came with the LSA(gen 5) and LT4 (gen 6)...of course it has a full warranty, just as the GT500's did.

GM also very carefully qualifies that "track use" warranty..it's not a blank check for modifying your car and going out and running timed competitions.

I think you're woefully uninformed as to the realities of the GM track warranty, what the ZL1 is and what this deal entails.
