I'm at 420 to the wheels, with no problems.

I have a bullet proof HammerHead rear differential with Wavetrac Posi-unit with 4.88 gears in my 2010 twin turbo V-6! With the.67 OD in the transmission, it's still perfect for freeway speeds. I only turn 2250 RPM @ 60 MPH which is still easy cruising and you talk about a killer hole shot, I mean, this thing launches like a bullet! My daily driver vehicle.

I just had 3.91's installed, You'll feel the difference for sure. The GM performance kit with the 3.91 gears comes with everything but the program to change the speedo, you can get that seperatly from GM or have a tuner adjust it.

The 391s are indeed GM gears engineered to go into your GM car and run without trouble for many miles. So I don't see the problem getting gears for your car from the same company that installs said gears into Camaros on the assembly line. Many parts on your car are Mexican made ....Chinese made ...etc etc.

First gear goes by in a blink in my automatic with 3.91. Comes with warranty on parts and labor plus ecm reprogram. Go GM they tested them for the SS. Its the best bang for buck.
