Warmer temps sure make a difference drag racing my Z06

Some NSFW language from me and the passengers at times

Here's a couple suggestions on improving your times.

Read the section of you owner's manual on "Launch Control". It's there for a reason.
Keep the RPMs high during the complete run. Go back and watch your video, especially during 1st gear.
Mis-shifts. Best case you lose. Worst case you might explode the engine.
Good luck..

Appreciate the suggestions. I've used launch control when I had my SS and my Z51 Stingray. Still new to the Z06 and the extra power, and with my lack of traction last week, I'm still feeling the car out. Pretty much kept traction control on (track mode) for all the runs. Finally had to switch to sport and turn off T/C to get the wheels to spin freely. Need to check up how to do it in track mode, because even with it set with T/C off and in race mode, the computer was stepping in to reduce revs.

As far as launch control...didn't really like it at all with my SS or the Z51.

Mostly will be doing Autocross and some SCCA racing with it though, so I'm just having fun with it drag racing. The missed shifts were me just trying to hurry the shifts, especially against the CTS-V where we were dead even. I hit the gate, and in my hurry to complete the shift...I hit 5th, lol. I'm just happy I beat the Lamborghini once, since it was a beast once the twin turbos got going.

Found this other perspective of one of my runs against the Lambo.
