I stayed local so my parents assisted with my schooling until the last year so I'm fairly fortunate but if I had gone away to school I would've had to get all of the money myself through loans.

Not to sound spoiled or bratty, but my camaro was my graduation gift from high school. My parents pay everything for it, even gas. I'm extremely fortunate. But I feel like if I would've gotten an SS from the get go, I wouldn't bother with wanting a new car.

Same here. And Louisiana has TOPS which pays the tuition for schooling in the state.

Meh I had to pay everything out of pocket. Hence why I have so many student loans to pay back. I want a gen 6 V8 so bad but it won't be happening for a long time.
