Just picked this up in 9mm; M&P Ported Shield, easy to carry and shoots well when I do my part.

Nice choice. I have a shield myself. I chose the regular version with a crimson trace laser (green)

It was the only 9 shield my LGS had at the time. So i said what the heck. The laser is removable when i dont want it on there so it was just a bonus. Very accurate for me. Im quite amazed on how well it actually shoots. Compared to the XDS-9, G43, and some of the other guns the same size as the shield, this one does the best for me.

I might give the Springfields another chance but I absolutely hated shooting the XD I tried at the range.

Talking about permits..I am waiting for my LTC (TX) for 2 months so far..was about to call them but I guess I should wait a bit more

But our county requires a safety course in addition to the above.

And the best part!! (Sarcasm) Is that when I applied, I did so unwittingly during the big "scare" when EVERYONE applied....and so it took 23 months to get my license!!

Guess we could just buy out of the trunk of a car like lot of others here, lol.

Took me 3 weeks to get my CHL in TX. Must be the increase of LTC/CHL applications when TX went open carry.

That exactly how I got my newest 1911. As a matter of fact, it was a 2016 Camaro SS trunk! It was meant to be!

Springfield makes fantastic firearms. I really like them.

Ive had the following.

- XDS 9 black
- XDS 9 FDE
- XDM 3.8 compact 45
- XD MOD 2 bi tone 9
- XD MOD 2 FDE 9
- XDM 4" barrel with the updated mod 2 grip 9


As you can see, i like them, and cant make up my mind.


If you were referring to the XDS or the previous grip (blocky) then i agree with you. Other then the xds's, and the 3.8 compact i had. All my other springfields had the new "grip zone" grip. It is by far a huge improvement over their old grip texture. Once the mod 2 camd out i got one and loved the grip. The old grip isnt bad on the full size guns, but its terrible (for me) on the XDS. I love the xds, i just cant stand the grip. Im waiting for an xds with the updated grip zone texture. I will buy another if that day comes.

M1 Garand people, what should I look for an what should I pay?
Let me elaborate
-Prefer originality
-Don't mind some wear as long as no rust and not destroyed
I've been seeing listings in the $1,200 range, but that seems a little high for a mass produced surplus gun.
Any advice?

Thanks. Mine is a newer model barrel. It is very accurate and a pleasure to shoot. After about 300 rounds! Only issue I had...ran out of ammo!

Hey guys, anyone know where to get a Taurus Raging Bull 44 mag in Arizona? I can't find any shops nearby that have them in stock.
