Wonder if Blackstone would be able to tell if my cam was going bad because of this lifter tap. Giving it a shot but I did drain out about 3/4 of a quart and it's noticeably quieter. Confused? Yes.

CG blows. Adams is my favorite for most stuff. Compound=deep scratches Polish=light scratches Wax=filler/protectant. Cleaner wax has some light abrasive properties.

I like their car washes. I haven't used any of their other items but for washes I really like the Mr Pink for regular washes and their Citrus Wash n Gloss for stripping the paint to clay it, compound/polish and put some fresh wax on.

Or get Meguiars Gold Class as its widely available pretty much everywhere that sells anything car related and its a really really good car wash.

meguiars clay, DA compound, polish, and wax! Lot of work but worth it in the end!

do you have swirls/scratches that need to be removed (paint correction)? Then you will need a polisher to address that. you will not be able to remove those by hand.

See, you are just opening up for a lot of questions, based on your needs.

It's best to start with the essentials, and work your way to the "nice to have" stuff.

Or check out the Adams website or even on AutoGeek or detailed image as those sites have a ton of packages available and could probably make up a package for you if you emailed or call them asking for some assistance with what to get.

I like Meguiars 101 and 102 for compound and polish, then I have a few waxes/sealants from Meguiars, Detailers Pro, Duragloss, Surf City Garage and a few others. The ones I usually go to are Megs #26 wax and Duragloss 111. Good combo and seems to last a few months. Since we get a ton of pollen I like to use Finish Kare #425 spray detailer as it really helps keep pollen off my car.

Check out the detailing section on here. Tons of info, but I would not jump into compounds or polishes just yet. Stick to getting the wash down perfectly (as in avoid adding scratches and or swirls to the paint) and get some good wax and or sealant along with a clay bar kit.

my fault, wasnt specific enough. only scratches i got are light ones. the one you only see under sunlight. other than that, im just looking for tools and methods for a proper wash. it is a dd and i like to wash once per week.

@justjoshin and xc_SS/RS they do sound like a alot of work but thats fine because a lot of work results in a detailed clean. will check out the websites and options available. thanks for the feedback guys

I did this polishing by hand. Look at the recommended product list in the detail section
