Wow, that's terrible... I love the Insignia but a proper Commodore it is not.
I wish GM had of brought the proper VXR package for the GS too :/

Full size van news? WHAT?

Yup. 2017 Chevrolet Express/GMC Savana vans gain the 2.8L Duramax TurboDiesel from Colorado/Canyon and an 8 speed transmission. They lose the 6.6L Duramax V8.

Do they have any interest in going after the van market like Nissan and Ford and Dodge with the configurable roof heights and wheel bases?

Alot of my customers have Chevy/GMC vans that are coming up on time to replace them and they are going with Ford or Nissan. Just seems to me like GM is missing out if they don't go after those types of vans. I mean if I had a business where I needed a work van, there is no way in hell I would even consider a chevy van unless they get with the times

And I still despise Cadillac's naming structure. What are they going to do with the V models? Keep them as V. Introducing the Cadillac CT5V....sounds awful

Maybe they're following in McLaren's footsteps and naming their cars after fax machines?

Fact of the matter is, the Express/Savana still sell. I don't think GM sees a point in replacing them until sales fall off a cliff.

GM's combined sales are only a bit behind the Transit, and about tripple either the Ram Promaster or Mercedes Sprinter.

And Shaffe ... don't forget that full size vans aren't only sold as contractor vehicles. Cutaways are a big part of the market too. Those get turned into light cargo vans (think U-haul), small RV's, ambulances, mini-busses, and so on. It would not surprise me if GM dominates that part of the market right now.

True I forgot about the cutaways. It's just weird to me to see companies that have had fleets of GM vans for as long as I have been here to be switching to Ford or Nissan vans. I am only going by what I see.

Even if it wasn't replacing them, could they adapt them to have configurable roofs like the competition?

Any possibility Chevy will offer an RS version of the Trax similar to the Sport Touring version of the Buick Encore? I want the 153HP 1.4 Turbo the Encore ST gets but I don't want to pay the $3,000 premium (cost above the Trax LTZ that the Encore ST is) to get the Buick.
