Chevrolet doesn't have room for another coupe in the showroom. It would simply rob Camaro sales. GM no longer has the market share for this.

I think most of you are thinking 454 SS when you wish for a Chevelle. And that volume won't justify an entirely new model. You would need a 2.0T and 3.6 for FE and broader sales.

Plus the Chevelle would be bigger? So imagine going into a Chevrolet dealer and seeing a couple of coupes, one only slightly bigger than the other. Or in other words, a Camaro with a bigger back seat, bigger trunk and better visibility. Which sounds good, but just not likely to happen.

I've even wondered why they have an Impala and a Malibu....unless I see the logo on the car, I can't tell much difference...

Bob Lutz said they had already built a full size that was supposed to be the C7. But the person I know said they will be building two Corvettes for the C8 generation, kind of making it its own brand. The mid engine Vette will be a six figure car and the front engine will be the sub $100,000 dollar version. GM already trademarked the name Zora. So expect that to be the name of the mid engine version.

Additional add on car options and nice to have models have given way to profits and optimization. It sucks and each year the big three creep closer to Korean cars..less select options more canned styles and trims..
