14 Silverado dropped a lifter.

Dealership looking at it Wednesday but I'm sure that's what it is.

28 k miles. 14 Silverado 2lz LTZ z71 5.3 4x4 double cab.
Paid like 46k for the damn thing. Not impressed. Kinda scared of the GM AFM lifters now.

Just put headers and a tune on it back in October. Thinking I'm screwed for warranty.

So stressed !

Fingers crossed for ya, but I think you might get screwed. Start looking into the LS7 lifter upgrade, and a back to basic tune to eliminate AFM. Check with LT1swap.com for the flash.
Good luck!

Has a diablo tune with further custom tuning by lew which eliminated the AFM from turning on.

I doubt his tune contributed to the failure I hear nothing but good about it. Cant find anything bad searching online.

That's my plan basically as Ive done heads and cam swaps in the past on LS motors and used to be a mechanic. Im a little rusty and ive heard these newer DI motors are a bit trickier. Little worried.

If they wont cover it Ill take it home and do the job myself. Switch the lifters and might as well put a small cam in it while im at it. If the cam is damaged I might as well. Just something small for a small hp bump.

Wonder if the stock valve springs can take much more or if ill need them as well...

Maybe I should just leave it stock besides headers and tune...maybe asking for more problems lol...idk

It's covered !

Being lifters are a known issue they probably had no issue covering it I'm guessing.

I'll be going back to them when I buy a new SS for sure.
