Our other car was CGM. We miss it dearly.

Beautiful color.

Really?

I wouldn't change my color for the world. It is the main reason why I haven't sold it yet.

This class is like trying to run a Marathon in under 3 hours when you weigh 300 pounds and never ran before in your life.

My issue with getting advice on the forums up in the engine tech sub-forums is everyone there seems to be going after really big numbers..which I'm not.
If I want to build a 10 second drag car..it's not going to be a 5th Gen..I'd find something lighter and cheaper like a 4th Gen and start there.
Debating on what suspension to run..the aFe Control series featherlite coilovers look promising, especially since they shave 30lbs off the car.

You want to be in high 11s on radials all you're going to need is headers, CAI, and a good tune. That will get you right into the upper 11s, lower 12s. You wouldn't even have to worry about suspension mods either for that.

Yeah...I'm starting to see that. I was kind of hoping that stroking it out to 416 would help bulk up the low end torque also. My only real experience in seeing 5th Gen's race is watching Jason@JacFab's car run years ago (He and I went to school together back in the day).

What I'd really like is a nice, flat torque curve..something that doesn't drop below..say..415 WTQ from 3,000 up past 5,000 and a gradual rise up to 485ish WHP..controlled climbing, not peaky spikes. I'm hoping a lower power 416 stroker with a mild cam could provide that based on the extra cubes alone.

I was stuck between red and white. Ended with white after seeing mine in person. It doesn't look as wet as black paint does when cleaned and waxed or any other color that really stands out when clean but there's just something about a really clean and waxed white car that gets me. It just looks so good but not all in your face about it.

My all time favorite color on cars is probably Highland Green..the Ford dark green that was on the 68 fastback Mustang in "Bullitt"

But I'm also pretty biased to this blue...

I'd say my favorite color has to be WR Blue Pearl that comes on the STI... That with the bronze wheels =

Ooooooh maybe I'll paint my wheels bronze... Eh? Eh?
