my co-worker has an FRS, and well, I barely fit in it. But then again, I don't fit in a lot of little cars.

Yeah they targeted young people in their 20-30's and got people in their 40-50's I think. And they had pretty much the same exact cars on sale now as they did when they first started selling cars, minus the FRS.

Good riddance honestly. I rode in a TC once and immediately felt that my base line accord was a better built car with better materials throughout the interior

Subaru's quality back in the day was terrible and basic, but now they're not so basic and the quality seems to be better.
I would have bought another prius but I was new in my career and the price difference was at least 10k if I recall right. I didn't have any reliability issues with the XB I just ended up hating how cheap it was. I could deal with the crappy interior and the strange styling of the exterior because it was bought as a cheap commuter. But I didn't realize how bad of gas mileage we were going to get. That little 4cyl engine had to turn pretty fast to keep up with the 75 mph speed limit out here in the desert and having a crappy 4 speed auto transmission didn't help. I think the high speed limit is what wore down my 03 prius. It did great when I lived in the Midwest but once I moved down here it never seemed to get a full charge on the batteries. Both were reliable in my opinion is just that when I bought the xb I wanted a cheap car with good mileage but I got a cheap car with crappy mileage.

Oh wow, a person who gets carsick in a Scion. When I was twelve, I got carsick in my dad's 2005 Toyota Matrix XR. It is having problem after problem now, and we are looking into new cars for him. Your son, if he likes his Scion, and when his lease is up, probably will but a used one, but who knows now

It did seem to get people in their 40s and 50s, and I knew someone in that age range who had a first gen xB, but now she owns a Honda Insight. The xB was discontinued for the 2016 model year, but the tC seemed to last the longest.

Toyota still uses the 4 speed in the Yaris! I saw on Scion's site a comparison between the xB, Nissan Cube and Kia Soul, and the xB had the 4 speed, the Cube had a CVT and the Soul has a 6 speed auto, and Scion acted as if the 4 speed is better, but now it's dated. Toyota also uses the 4 speed auto in the Corolla L.

My first brand new car was a 2004 Scion tC. I loved it at the time. Then I got older and wanted more. So my last three new cars have been Camaro's.

Interesting. I think the tC was supposed to replace the Toyota Celica.
