And the best part!! (Sarcasm) Is that when I applied, I did so unwittingly during the big "scare" when EVERYONE applied....and so it took 23 months to get my license!!

Good news is that now that I have it, I can carry pretty much anywhere in NY, and I'll be supplementing my license soon so I can carry in most of the US.
23 months? Nice. Be sure to stop and put it in your trunk if you come through Tompkins co. Then again this is libtard heaven what with being Ithaca and Cornell University and all. I'm just trying to make my Ruger legal after 15 years so I can actually shoot it again.

As it should be!

Really? Even though I have an unrestricted NY C/C permit?

I would check before rolling through. Maybe I got bad info. They might have to honor whatever another county issues. I know mine as a resident will be restricted. Can't believe they would let non-county residents carry while residents can't, but it is NY. Not supposed to make sense, lol. Adjacent counties are unrestricted and you need a safety course for a CCW. Our sheriff is pro gun, the courts are not.

In Erie, most licenses are issued restricted. You can apply for unrestricted, but they don't always honor the request if the courts don't like the reason you wrote. I applied for and was awarded a unrestricted permit...and I'm pretty sure it's a state-wide thing once the permit is issued. Basically, I can concealed carry everywhere but government buildings and schools.

But I will check on that. Last thing I want to do is get into an issue with an excuse of "I didn't know."...they don't show much mercy for that sort of thing...

I would like to but it would be one hell of a commute back and forth to work everyday.

I think I am going to pick up that Ruger American Pistol after I get some range time with it. So far reviews are pretty good, except for a random one by MAC.

New Mexico is the same until "Pay for gun". After that it's take it home!!

If anyone is interested in a PWS Mk116 Mod 1 AR15. Let me know via PM with your email and I'll send over pics and specs on it. I'd also trade it towards/for a Dillon 1050 or an optic for an LMT MWS.

++++++++++++++++++++

Here's Nevada from an FFL: Walk in. Point at Gun. Fill out ATF form. Present CCW permit which takes the place of the background phone call. Pay. Pick up new gun and walk out with it. If no one is in line in front of you, you're literally in and out of the gun store with your new toy in 5 minutes.

We still have face-to-face gun trades/sales between citizens, too. No background check needed. Although Bloomberg is trying to change that during the elections this year......

Yep, Utah is very gun friendly. I'm a Utah CFP instructor and I'm pretty impressed with most of Utah's gun laws.
