Greetings from South Florida

Hello,

I became a first-time American, GM, Chevy, Camaro buyer last weekend when I picked up a 2016 2LT (hyper blue metalic).

I hugged a lot of trees driving Hondas the previous 20 years. This is a huge change for me.

I fell in love with the Camaro when GM re-released it back in 2010, and really fell hard when I saw what they did with the sixth gen. It's CEO Mary Barra's favorite car? Yeah, I could tell.

Every detail on the car is awesome (okay, maybe not the trunk or back seat, but I didn't get it for either of those ;) ). Love the cockpit, accessible interface, sculpted exterior, 20in black aluminum wheels. It's amazingly responsive. I haven't yet decided if I enjoy hitting th curved roads and roundabouts in the neighborhood or taking it out on open road...

I'm sure a lot of you are having a good laugh; going from a Civic to Camaro has to be like a prisoner getting out of the klink and raving about a steak dinner upon release. :)

BTW, thank you to many of you who have been posting; I was lurking on the forums for quite some time, doing my homework. Those who posted invoices, about GM deals, car features, etc. we're immensely helpful when I went to the dealership. Much appreciated!

CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wives', husbands, girlfriends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.
