I called my boss told him about it and took off till the new year. We left Wed morning and drove straight through to Tampa with my 4 dogs in truck.

We arrived at her sisters house early Thursday morning. Got a few hours of sleep and headed to the hospital to see him. He was transferred to the Moffitt Cancer center on the USF Campus in Tampa. His team of doctors there are more optimistic that they can get him into remission with Chemotherapy. He started that today and is responding well to the treatment so far. We are worried however that at age 74 the treatment may be rough but he wants to beat this so that is a positive.

We will be here at least through the end of next week to keep his spirit up. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
So sorry to hear about this Zandron. Particularly difficult at the holidays.

Thank you Diane he is responding well to the chemotherapy his white cell count is down from 270,000 to 23,000. He will likely be in the hospital until at least February so we cannot stay here that long. My guess is that we will take some vacation in a month or so to return for a visit. The outlook is positive however that they can manage the leukemia and buy him several more years of a good quality of life.

Sorry to hear about your father-in-law zandron. I lived in Tampa for 26 years he's in good hands at USF. Will say a prayer for him.

Well all is quiet & back to normal. My daughter & her hubby left this morning headed home top Florida taking her & bunny home too. I spent the day putting away Christmas décor & cleaning up after. Mike spent the day finding me a computer charger (since one of the bunnies chewed the wire on mine) and resolving problems getting the new cell phones my son got us, activated. Using my work computer now. It seems that the sim cards on both of the brand new phones were bad so after hours in the Verizon store yesterday and hours on line with them today, he had to drive to Nashville to get the new sim cards. Ruby misses the baby bunny & so do we. I miss my daughter too but it was hard also. This house is not big enough for 2 couples & 2 bunnies. I'm tired. Tomorrow I have to move my office stuff. I'm getting too old for this crap. I wanna retire!. Hope everyone had a good holiday.

Bittersweet year this year, as I lost my boyfriend this summer to an accident. Time heals all, but the memories remain. I know we are all missing those that we have had at the table or around the tree in years past. Grateful for the memories, but sad that there won't be more.
Thoughts and prayers with you always Dee Dee

Thanks my friend...............I am lucky, just sad about how things go sometimes.

I read something recently that went like this.

The moment our loved ones pass......
We grieve the past, the future and the now............
Our loved one is more than one moment in time..............

Who knows what the future would have held? God has a reason, and there is a reason for everything, we just have to trust in the plan for our lives........

What? Retirement sounds pretty good? You're right, it does, but I still feel like I have a purpose right now and I'm not old enough yet

Headed to Oklahoma tomorrow, to the frozen precip, but hoping it will melt before we get there Wednesday. Happy New Year to all, but I'm sure I'll be on here some.

Oh, and Boomer Sooner, lol

Rainy here today too. I woke up with a killer tooth ache. It has been hurting off & on for a couple days but I thought it was my glands being swollen aggravating my jaw & feeling like a tooth ache. Not sure now. Morning meds got it to stop hurting again so still waiting to see whether I need to go to MD or DDS. Bronchitis is getting slowly better. I decided to stay home again today & recuperate.
