Passed my two ASE recertification tests yesterday.

Our department had a meeting with the CEO yesterday. They still haven't decided whether to outsource us or not. Nothing better than something like this hanging over you for months.

Today will be my first 12 hour shift as an interpreter at the hospital. it will be from 7pm to 7am tomorrow. We only go when called upon and the rest of the time we hand around. I don't drink coffee so any suggestions for those midnight to 7am sleepy feeling suggestions will be appreciated. I really love this job helping my people and their ill kids.

Good morning. I'm exhausted. Laid daddy to rest yesterday. I'll post up a few pics later. Off to work now.

Going to be a cold weekend here. Might have to wear long pants and a coat to the cruise tomorrow.

ok my turn to rant , just found out that my 17 yr old nephew is in the hospital because his leukemia after 9yrs in remission is back . he was born with down syndrome as well .Stephen has attended a regular school and this past june he was voted prom king and his date was prom queen . I went to his hockey game 2 weeks ago , he plays in a handicap league. He was so glad I could make it to his game, he scored 2 goals . the coach told me I should come to every game .He is treated just like any other kid , him and I joke around alot . Right now he is going to under go heavy chemo as they say he because of the down syndrome his chances of survival is about 30%. He is at sick kids hospital in Toronto where he was treated till the age of 8 , now they CEO has to approve for him to stay at the kids hospital because he will turn 18 at the end of the month . his doctor has requested for him to stay there for 1 mth and started treatment because of Stephen history there . They are going to see how this goes as there is also 2 hospitals that are working on some other forms of treatment . Right now all he wants to do is go home because of his birthday and Christmas coming . I am glad I was able to his hockey game . at this point all we can do is hope that he can beat it .
