who would you rather have voting more than the people who watch EVERY game, your grandmother?

Don't make that argument its dumb. The best teams go every year, maybe you'll be there one day. If all the other teams contract swine flu.

Yes. Hence why I think the BCS is ridiculous. Any TRUE fan of college football (and not their team when it benefits them) would agree that the BCS system sucks.

The coaches hardly watch any games. They're too busy watching film on their next game and taking care of other crap (like, you know, their own team). They don't even fill out the ballots. They usually just have one of their SID guys do it. Ask Steve Spurrier.

Why would it matter how many games they watched if they arent the ones filling it out?

Because you then have people with no credibility who still probably didn't watch the games (since they're also busy during football season) filling out the ballots. The idea behind the coaches doing it is that they have knowledge of the game and can be trusted to pick the best teams. Some random SID guy doesn't fit that bill. And besides, EVERYONE is biased. Most coaches/SIDs rank the teams that they play much higher than they should be to help out themselves.

And I love how Urban complained endlessly when he was at Utah and went undefeated and didn't get into the BCS champ game but now it's OK that his old team was in the same situation and his new team benefitted.

Good 'D' but the receiver should have just cought it.

Too bad Florida couldn't have a 7+ minute highlight vid. of just ranked teams.

If you guys don't think OU could be back again, you're not paying attention.

Not opinion, fact. Here's a recent, high profile story that although isn't for the BCS votes, is the same idea. That is actually worse since it was during the offseason when coaches have much more free time.

Some more on the matter...

Yup. But that doesn't make it right. This latest story is just a public admission of a practice that everyone (except shnomac77 apparently) has understood to be happening all along.

Bradfords face was priceless lol

We played more ranked teams last year than anyone in the country, thats why we got in with 1 loss.

And I know you guys are a solid team, I just think Texas will beat you guys and they will get in... if you beat them you guys go.

It is pretty bad. Stoops had his brothers and others lowering votes to get OU 'in'.

I think they've ALL benefited at one time or another. Problem is that it's actually become part of the job description when hiring coaches. "Good hire. This guy can really get the 'Support'"

I think the Heisman is a stupid joke and I don't even pay attention anymore.
