did you try to turn the wheel while removing the key or starting the car?

has it been giving you problems? how long did you sit with the key in the ignition before you got it out? most all cars will "lock" the key in the ignition if the steering wheel is being turned by the wheels. had the same issue last night in the wifes jetta. we got in and it wouldnt start. I grabbed the wheel and turned the wheel while turning the key. fired right up.
