The funny thing is that only diplomats can claim diplomatic immunity and often a violation of the host country's laws will result in revocation of the immunity or disciplinary action by the granting body.

Oh, and...

That GT3 is keeping up well, just realized it does 0-60 in 3 seconds flat and quarter mile mid 11's. At the mid 100 k price point, that seems to have great value and stacks up against other exotics.

This is just another example of how Karma doesn't exist. Rich guys get to race through the streets with no consequences just because of who he is.

Millions of dollars, if not more available to spend on cars and flees the country over what, a reckless driving citation? The worst the kids, I'm assuming, could have been the actual car owner I suppose, are looking at is some fairly heavy fines and a suspension of their drivers licenses?

Legal representation, and the max fines are going to come to an insignificant fraction of what the vehicles are worth. I mean total expenditure on the incident, independent of how much it will cost to fix that La Ferrari, might equate to a single payment on that car, if it had a five year loan? So, why flee the country? Embarrassment?

Now it's something public enough that it could conceivable become something of a diplomatic incident? This whole thing keeps making less sense.

Practically worthless today in the United States culture; honor, doing the right thing and preventing family embarrassment is priceless in many countries. Protected in many with severe violations up to death.

I don't know about karma, but I know this: if he had hit somebody I'd be seeing him in prison.
