Friendly Warning for your Firework Fun
This is a little reminder to those who dabble in amateur firework displays at home...Please be CAREFUL!!!
Driving in my Pontiac Vibe on my way home tonight, I almost crashed. Someone was shooting off fireworks, and some how got one to shoot down there little road and out on another street, instead of up, (I'm sure not as they intended) I saw it coming towards me from the right, I braked and swerved to the left, not knowing if it would explode under my car... due to the lack of ABS, my brakes locked up and I was all over the road, luckily there was no one going the opposite direction, and I was able to recover. This could have gone a lot worse, and I just wanted to remind everyone to stay safe. Sometimes, somethings are best left up to the professionals...

Mistakes like that (probably due to negligence and/or drunkenness) are the reason why fireworks are illegal in so many states. :upset:

I agree. we always put on our own show at Hauser Lake. were always the best ones out there. but we are professional in how we do it. we have plenty of safety gear on, hoses standing by at the ready, and 3 fire extinguishers. we use a turbo torch to light the fireworks with, then get the hell out of the way.

In New York, they're illegal. And I think it's the biggest crock of......I've ever heard of. It's like prohibition, as far as I'm concerned.

thats mainly due to the per capita of people. you take the average number of accidents in lightly populated areas, then increase the number of accidents respectively to the increase in the population, and throw in proximity. it makes sense. you should move down here to SC, we do whatever the hell we want.
