Just switched from road to mountain with a hybrid bike - Giant Roam 1 but looking to upgrade to a 29'er in the future.

I'm just a casual single track rider, but since this is my DD the first mod was the trailer hitch.

Rode today in the 94 degree Atlanta heat.

I'm overdue for a bike upgrade, but I'd rather spend money on the Camaro.

I used to ride a ton back in the day, now not so much, but still have my bike. I have a '07 Marin Alpine trail with all upgraded components.

That's the only picture I have of it. Right after the last time I rode it(off road) about 4 yrs ago

I've got an old Giant Warp DS1, from 2001. Time to upgrade. That Trek is a sweet ride, clean! I'm also kicking around the idea of building a BMX racer to ride around.

How much was the hitch and bike rack? I've got a 29er but did not want to use my truck rack over rear of scratching the paint/vinyl stripes. Been wanting to get back onto my bike.

I have a Niner Air 9 RDO (29") and an Ellsworth Moment (26"). We have more technical style trails here in North Texas.

I also ride road and race criteriums/road/cyclocross. So, the mountain biking is a nice change plus the interval style of riding is good training.

Wait. You used to race mountain bikes. In Florida? Was this like a man made landfill mountain? We had one of those in Virginia Beach that got made into a city park.

The hitch was about $275 installed and the rack was $140 on Amazon. It's now $200: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BQUK4WC?

I love the rack. It's super easy to get on and off and folds up when not in use.

Back in the 90's, rode a Nishiki up and down Buffalo Bayou in Houston between Wilcrest and Kirkwood on a daily basis, great trails... moved up to motorcycles.
