Sick! I did the same thing but with their Stealth film instead. Love Xpel!

I have a question. Looking at getting the gill area protected and when I go to the Xpel site they have the precut film locations. Is the gill area called the rear fender impact area or is that the rear side of the wheels?

That seems really cheap! You might want to confirm with them that they are indeed using Xpel Ultimate and not some cheap stuff. I had my entire bumper, head lights, fog lights, front facing area of the fenders, body line down of the front fenders behind the front wheels, mirrors, gill area and the lower of the rear bumper area behind the rear wheels and it was $1300.

The Gill Area is the rear fender impact area.

The gill area I believe the call it the rear fender impact area. You can look at the pictures on there site to determine exactly what area it is.

I have found if you are fortunate to have more than one xpel dealer, then you should call around.
I got mine at half price compared to the first clown I called. And who I chose is a high volume to dealer shop. They did great work. |

I was quoted about 1100 for my clear bra work elsewhere. He did it for 450. Any Camaro after me, for same work, is paying 650. Still a pretty good deal at 650, but not 450 good! Shop around!

Would this be more beneficial to a daily drive kind of guy or is it worth it for someone who only puts about 1100 miles on a year??

My 1LE had about 1000 miles on it when I got the Xpel. There were already a few small marks on it; especially the gills. You needed to be about 4 inches from the paint to see them, but they were there. You will get dings and scratches. Just fewer overall than a DD car, I suppose. It just takes one big one to really gash up the car.....who knows when/if you'll get that one. The Gills are very vulnerable. You could just get those covered. Perhaps do the car in steps, as you deem appropriate. I guess it depends on how OK you are with small scratches and dings that always appear on the 1LE's. Some owners are cool with some dings; some are not.
