Audi A3

Anybody ever had an Audi A3?

The automatic has an actual clutch, and it has a very unique transmission.

Turbo charged, the thing really seems to fly. I test drove one and am considering buying to have some fun with and then pass on to one of my boys when they need it.

If anyone has any pros or cons about them, from experience, let me know. I am scheduled to pull the trigger on it today.

It's not an automatic and it isn't really unique. It's a DCT, Dual Clutch Transmission. Many cars have them, both FWD and RW/AWD.

I had an Audi S4 and the DCT was fabulous.

The dealer's literature is referring to it as automatic, though I understand it is a bit different from a standard auto trans. Either way, it's quite unique to me and I made purchase (won't get it until Monday though). Chirping the tires without even trying with a 4 cylinder was a neat experience.

Nice cars but they're kind of pricey.

Pick her up tomorrow. Going to be a peppy "run around town" car - grocery shopping for the wife, taking the little dogs out cruising, etc. 30mpg if I stay off the turbo.
