If egg shape had Good aerodynamics, then supercars and sports cars would use that design.

 my random reappearance to say hi  Random ? - If I did a throttle body replacement wouldn't it be silly to add a spacer as well? Rather, isn't it silly for a spacer to begin with? For a 2003 Silverado 4.8l

But there is a definite angle change from the hood/fender line and a pillars. A domed roof doesn't make it egg shaped, to me.
