I love flying. I wanted to fly A-10's in the Air Force, but my eyesight in one eye is not up to par.

Me, too. I've been at it for a full 4yrs now. The Air Force allows Lasik now. How bad is it?

I would love to learn to fly then fly one of those and blow something up with it and then shoot it with the huge gun on the front lol I could watch videos of those planes in combat for a few hours.

I have a stigmatism in my right eye. I can get my vision really sharp if I can force it to focus, but it puts a lot of strain on it to focus. But in my left eye I have extremely good vision, so I don't have to wear contacts or glasses. And I love the Warthog. I actually wrote a term paper that was a practice thesis, it was over the warthog and its combat effectiveness in the gulf war, and conflicts up to 2001.

It's still more effective than pretty much anything else the USAF has.

What's sad is they are trying to get rid of it and its such a good plane. That and the C-130.

F-35 is a mistake. I wish Obama would send some A-10s over to Ukraine.

I knew from the beginning the F-35 would be bad. Me and a friend had a discussion about it, you can't make a plane that can do it all. The F-35 would could barely take small arms before going down. The role of close air support and air interdiction require circling the target getting close and dealing damage and the hog can take an unreal amount of damage and fly home.

This would destroy anything we have. Got lucky when Russia stopped development. https://youtu.be/nhigI6ioKLM

Yeah the Su-37 would've been tough. It would had been a heck of a fight between it and the raptor. But the raptor has problems so who knows.

Im into older planes, gotta give the A-10 lots of credit though. ive always been a huge fan of the F-14s, A-6s, and my favorite the "Double Uglies" (F-4s.)

Bah didn't tighten the end links enough last night. Lots of knocking around while driving... Looks like I'll be getting under there during my lunch break at home!
