Brand new to the Camaro world altogether

Hello hello

Dan here. I nabbed myself a nice job some time ago and had a paid off 2012 Accord SE (2.4L I4). I loved that car. Reliable, comfortable (though road noise sucked). I was in Chicago two weeks ago and it struck me...I love Camaro's. The look, feel and so forth but I have never owned anything faster than my Accord (177hp but heavy).

So I went to the dealer that my family knows, got a great trade in, and test drove. And I pulled the trigger.

2014 (but new...90 miles on it) LT2 RS with all the toys and bells and so forth. Sparkling midnight blue (no striping).

Two days later I drove it home to Champaign, IL and told my wife I'd pick her up from her lab. And...well it was a slightly different car

That 2.5 hour drive home was amazing. So here I am. Driving a Camaro and loving every second of it

Anyway...bit about me. I live in Central Illinois (Champaign) and am employed as a psychotherapist, married and loving life.

I see there is a Central Illinois cruise/club on the forum so I will be checking it out

so yeah nice to meet you all

CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands, girlfirends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

Thanks to all

I adore this car. I've never been one to do something like this. I just went for it. Got the great deal and good warranties because I want this car taken well care of.

Amazingly, although I pushed it a few times, I don't find myself beating it up at all. I like to just cruise.

Well again thanks a lot for the welcome. Time to get into it
