Stock for stock, the SOTP feel for power was dead nuts, the handling, also very close ( not great by any argument for either one), BUT I took from that exchange that the Performance Pack on the mustang "should've" made it handle better IMO.

Then.....I drove the 1LE, and it was a no brainier, it was hands down a better handling ride than the Mustang and in the same price range.
You're clearly one of Al O's "2-percenters", for whom the 1LE was aimed directly at. I'm no different.

The PP was aimed at a wider audience than just you and me out of us plus the next 98 random ponycar buyers, so it was intentionally made to be a little 'softer' around the edges. I'm guessing it's a 20-percenter's car, which should slot it somewhere in the middle between an 'regular' SS and the 1LE.

drew - I can't imagine a car being as evil as you feel the S197 is, unless there was something not only wrong about a certain 2010 but that it went undiagnosed as well. Too bad there's this big pond between your location and my home track.

Yea, you can't cry about it forever but like they say, "it's cheaper to keeper"

I would never quit my job no matter how much I hate the witch but alimony is only temporary and then it's on.

Just FYI: The 2015 GT Performance Package is not available with the 6-speed automatic transmission (as the 1LE is not available in auto-equipped Camaro's).

I have been flirting with the idea for a couple of days now no decision will be made until I see the finished product on the 16th. But the 2015 has grown on me and I haven't owned a Camaro for 3 years so my patience is wearing thin.

If you like it, get it. Life's short. But make sure that's what you want.

Are you kidding? I love my camaro but ford's interior is lightyears ahead of gm. Gm's interior is worse than any of the Hondas I've owned. It's the only thing I can't stand about Gm.

worked on a 15 5.0 today and their interior was definitely better by a long shot. had all sorts of crap I wish the canaro did, especially found myself drooling over the u lock feature on the handle. meanwhile we don't even have push start yet
didn't really like their classic style switches, but I'm guessing a bunch of people love them.

we did lowering springs on it and the guys getting new rims later.
