from the factory i don't want it supercharged because of heat soak during DD

You are right about that , at least about the 67-69 Z/28's , my 68 had very little torque below 3500 rpm , but when she got to 3500 rpm hang on , I remember burrieing the tach and she was still pulling hard , in fact I at one point just lifted my feet off the floor , I just knew something was going to come flying through , but never did , she just kept wanting more , Damnest little engine I ever saw , and the sound was so sweet , Damn I loved that car
