Trip to Maryland is in one week. I'll be there for two weeks, so I've got all three of my vehicles on battery chargers/maintainers. All five of our vehicles required oil changes this month, and the Camaro will get changed sometime this week. Kinda weird how they all became due for oil changes this month.

Jan - so sorry about your Dad's situation. I hope that something better all around can come out of today's meeting.


Thanks for the good wishes for my wife's retirement. It hasn't really sunk in yet - she was up at the previously normal-go-to-work time this morning even though I'd set the alarm to go off about half an hour later. Yes, even though we're both retired now we'll be keeping the alarm. For a number of reasons.

All systems are down at work. Server issues, blah blah blah. Spent 3.5 hours goofing off mostly, taking the rest of the day off. Guess I'll do some yard work. No ETA on our systems being restored.

My heart goes to everyone going thru family hardships. I'm in a similar boat and it's no picnic. Time will tell. Extra prayers for everyone.

It looks like daddy will be going into a nursing home. In the meantime we have to pay fulltime sitters to be with him at the assisted living facility. That is not cheap. He will be safer, better cared for and most importantly.....fed in the nursing home.

More family drama to add to more club drama. How much longer until I can retire & become a hippie??????? Good night.

Watched hours of CNN coverage of the riots in Baltimore. Although I did not live in those areas, it is sad to see them looted, vandalized, and burned.

Working off 1/2 hour of the forced day off from work now. Three hours to go.

No calls in the night but I'm still tired. It will likely be a busy day. We still have to work out how to get daddy transferred to the nursing home. This week is going to be crazy.

Today was a beautiful day here, but rain is on the horizon.............
Has made for some pretty flowers so far. It seems like Hot Rod Power Tour has been coming for so long, now that it's getting close, I don't know if I'll be ready...........but it will be fun for sure!!

I'm thinking of all those involved too. I'm not sure I've recovered from the family hardships I had in the past 5 years yet...............Just made me feel overwhelmed about things that I had no problem handling previous to this. So sorry for you that are living it right now. Sometimes you just have to trust your instincts and know that nothing is perfect, you just do the best you can.

Good morning. I will go to visit one of the nursing homes in my town this morning. My sister visited 2 in Clarksville. She gave one a B+ & the other D-. It is going to be a pretty day. I guess today will be my first day back to dance/exercise class after dad being in the hospital. I have lost a little weight just with the stress & long days. Not the way I wanted it to go but I'll take it. Better get moving now. HAGD crew & thanks for all the support.
