Link is not working for me, but if I had to guess, maybe the engine from the M45

nothing to worry about, G8 and the Charger would whip its ass, then again it is a lightweight, hmm.........

I liked the way the original 350Z looked when it first came out. Until I actually sat in one. They are so tiny, you feel like you are eating the wheel and they have no torque. That is why a V8 version is in the works to give it the torque it needs to feel powerful..

Wow poor timing on that one. They can justify a V8 Camaro on the heritage. Kinda hard to do that with the Z, even though Chevy small blocks were a popular modification.

just to let you all know... 270 lb-ft is alot of torque in a 3000 lb car... the wheel base is tiny and its so incredibly responsive its always there... you cant even imagine how much fun the car is to drive... and lets not even talk about drifting... by far the most funnest thing... because its so responsive it feels torque is always there... and taking a turn while flooing it and chirping the clutch will have your tail hanging so far out you will feel like a pro... trust me... what torque it doesn't have it makes up for in fun, and top end, and handeling... consider the 370z , the camaro's main TRACK roadcourse competition... cuz after all what is there...

its pretty much camaro or 370z for me as my daily...

BTW a 370z will not be a v8... it goes entirely against renault-nissan theory... and its the dumbest thing ive heard in a while... on top of which... 340hp from a light six banger is more then enough...... a v8 wont give you much more power... and the car neer grips with only 280 lbs-ft... on top of which its market suicide

I agree, the 350Z is amazing as is, and the 370Z should be just awesome. It is certainly a serious, serious competitor to the Camaro. Its main drawback is its higher price, which will go even higher for the 370Z. Too bad.

having driven several 350Zs and G35s, I have to agree with CS here... these cars are amazingly powerful for such small cars... and feel alot lighter than they are... what has always amazed me about them is that they are significantly heavier than the Miata but feel lighter... cornering is tighter, turn in feels crisper, you never have a problem with feeling like the car is going to push too hard in a turn, and if you do, just add throttle and the rear end happily slings itself out at a controllable rate.

my gripe with the 350Z has always been with its seats... they're too small for a big guy like me and there's just not enough room in that cabin... its a problem that the G35 does not have... and I LOVE the G35... but, alas, I have a mental block on owning certain types of cars... and because of that, I'll probably never own one... I can mod a 4th gen Z28 to my own personal specs for less money than a G35... and as the 370Z and G37 arrive at dealers, I'm even less inclined to get one because I dont like the way they look anymore... but I'm sure the 370Z and G37 are every bit as good as their predecessors... if not better.

4dr or 2dr? never driven the 4dr, but I've driven several 2drs, and none of them felt heavy or underpowered... maybe you just drove a bad one? someone using cheap gas all the time in one would make it sluggish, I'd guess.
