New, but not really

I used to be on this site with another username, but I haven't been on in a long time and lost access to the email associated with the account. Anyway, I have always been into Camaros, Mustangs, all sorts of muslce/pony cars. Grew up in Detroit, now I live in Colorado. I needed something better in the snow so I could go skiing and whatnot, but I wanted to be able to drive it to the track and have some fun there too. So this is my car,

and in winter mode

There is a long list of modifications, but the gist of it is:

Cosworth pistons & Manley rods
Garrett GT3076R 0.63AR turbocharger
KW Variant 3 coilovers
444awhp 430awtq @ 24psi on E85, at 5,500' altitude on a dyno dynamics
Weighs in at about 3,300 lbs with a full tank

I haven't taken it to the 1/4 mile, but I pull pretty hard on my friend's LS2 GTO that traps 119mph at Bandimere. I hit the road course 4-5 times a year. If things work out money wise I hope to get into whatever replaces the Z/28 as a second car or a C7 if the next Camaro doesn't turn out as I hope.

CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands, girlfirends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

Thanks guys! I've been a Detroit muscle guy since I was a little kid. I have gone to the Woodward Dream Cruise every year since I was able to walk. My first car was a Mustang and the first car I remember my father having was a Trans Am. I never thought I'd own an import until I bought this car, but man is it fun. There's nothing like corner exits in this car. It has a similar power-to-weight ratio to a c6 z06 (they put down about 420rwhp on this dyno) and awd. Just a wheel/tire change and some coilover adjustments to switch between 12" of snow in the mountains and slapping around GT-Rs at the track. It's too bad no American companies make anything like this, but the Ford RS gives me hope!

This car also taught me to LOVE forced induction. I'd love it if Chevy made a more hardcore version of the ZL1! If there's a 6th gen with an LS9 or equivalent I will be ALL OVER IT!

Also, here's a quick video of the car if anyone is interested
