I just upgraded my Laptop Hdd to a SSD. I got a real nice kit from Kingston with migration software.

I've been following SSD's for a while now and am pretty confident the current generation are good for daily use.

But I'm still a little nervous about the R/W limits....

What say you.

Sorry to use you as a guinea pig GTA, but I cannot wait to find out how much you like the SSD.

So far I am completely happy with it.

The OS that's on it now has become a little scetchy.. So I'm getting ready to reformat and do a clean install.. Which takes me like 3 days to complete...

All my development stuff is a pain to reconfigure... And reinstalling all the software sux... But I think it will be even better with a clean install.

It already boot up twice as fast. Loving it.

Ok, Camaro peeps. Off to sleep.

Another great week awaits.

Sleep tight, Camaro5. Don't let the bed bugs bite.

I'm running a SSD in my laptop as well. R/W limits are a thing of the past. Essentially you would have to fill the drive hundreds of thousands if not millions of times over to have to worry about it - most people don't write 1% of that much.

And even if you were to, it would take far longer than the average life span of a regular harddrive to do it.
