The Altima is the second best selling car in the class behind the Camry so not a bad thing

Overall a huge step up from the current car. 4-inch longer wheelbase and 300lbs lighter - WOW!

Will they change the Impala? It looks too much like it to leave the Impala unchanged.

The front looks like a fish to me but I'm sure it's better in person; that first picture is hopefully just a terrible angle.
The back is nearly identical to an impala which is not a bad thing, but I don't think Malibu has had it's own identity in a long time.
I actually like the look of the interior a little more in the current models.

Wow. That is a vast improvement in all categories. Might actually be able to compete with the Japanese brands.

It looks nice. It is a great improvement. My only hope is that it is available in a coupe version. I am unhappy about the trend to eliminate coupes from lineups. I know, I know, they don't sell as many. 4 doors will always sell more. But when I am driving around I sure see a lot of coupes on the road so someone was buying them. I just like having options & I have never been a 4 door person.

2016 Chevy Malibu

Feel free to move this to the area I know it belongs in, but I knew it would get more exposure here. This is the 2016 Malibu revealed today at the Ren Cen. Has a few design elements stolen from the Camaro and the Impala.

I dig it. 48 MPG in the Hybrid option as well as a few other engine choices. Plus all sorts of tech (4G LTE, Wireless Charging, etc)

I'll get more pictures after lunch, there was a massive crowd for the reveal so this was the only pic I could snap so far.

The hood (especially the point at the front) is very Camaro.

And yea, now that I look at it, the MALIBU is in kind of a weird spot. But those letters are real easy to strip.
