I have like 2.5 weeks left, then she goes 6000 miles back to UA. Trying to convince her to come back, get her green card, and stay here. We'll see how that goes...

Come on everybody, keep the happy stories comin!

I was in a relationship with someone that always put me down and made me feel horrible about myself for over 5 years. I recently built up enough courage and strength to get out of that months ago. Someday I'll probably try looking for love again, but it's going to be much different. I'm never going to allow myself to end up with someone that was as emotionally abusive as he was. I plan on finding someone who appreciates me, accepts me, and compliments my personality and body!

Yes, that's me in the avatar. After I left him, I noticed how just about every other guy out there was more than accepting of me. So I started getting into some self-photography, created a blog about it, and it's been the most uplifting experience since!

Camaro's? I love. Happy love stories? I LOVE!! So I think this thread is great! Come on guys, don't be shy! You don't know how many people you are actually helping and giving hope to when you share your happily ever after stories!

And he had a girlfriend at the time, too. Fast forward to Dec 2014, he broke up with his girlfriend. (He did NOT brake up with her to date me) A few weeks later we start messaging each other on Facebook. We eventually exchanged numbers and ironically enough I told him the chances of him dating me were slim to none. And look where we are now.
