I adjust my mirrors using that method but I still dont trust them even after having been doing it that way for years. In fact, I STILL find cars next to me that my mirrors cannot see even though the mirrors are adjusted they way they recommend.

Once I get my Camaro I will probably have to do something about that. Perhaps one of those stick-on blind spot mirrors.

There is a guy who makes a mirror that has a huge FOV and doesnt mess up the image but they arent 'legal' in the US and I dont think he's started making them available yet.

I wish my mirrors would tilt down while backing.

I was just thinking that very same thing. It would be great if when I put the car in reverse, the mirrors would auto-adjust for parking.

I leave the selector switch on L and adj the left mirror everytime I back up.

Not in this car you can't. There are some spots that can only be seen with a properly angled mirror, no matter how far you twist your neck.

I've 'Platzer-ized' Chiristine months ago.. and I gotta say it really works. Every time I see a commercial for BLIS or any Volvo thing I just roll my eyes. Crazy that people will pay to stay lazy..

how does it work? is it just one of this little mirrors that you see on the side mirrors? how exactly does it work better than the side mirror?

i'm actually asking... not trying to be sarcastic LOL!

I have these blind spot mirrors on all my cars. Yeah, they are the round mirrors you see on big trucks only a LOT smaller. I don't have to look over my shoulder anymore or use the method described above since these mirrors provide a much wider viewing range. Just a quick glance to see if anyone is in my blind spot and then I change lanes. Another bonus is when I am backing up. I can see how close my rear tires are to the curb. You know, I have to park as far away from everyone else as I can.

Can't beat the price too compared to that electronic option.

I got mine at Autozone. I just bought the small car versions. They are about 1.75" in diameter. I'd recommend getting one for each mirror. The only downside is when you actually have to drive a car WITHOUT them.
