Well I'm talking about design wise not material.

The new challenger interior is boatloads above the previous year.To me, the interior does encompass the driver, However, in comparison to my camaro I still like the camaro. I really like the way i sit and ride. On the 2010camaro i just like how it takes me back to when I bought my 71 cuda in the early 80's. The challenger makes me think I am driving my old dakota RT truck were I sit higher. I know the bunker feel of a camaro is not for everyone but once you get used to it, At least i , really enjoy it.

things that make you think hmmmmm.....

Update: After this piece went live, a few different Hellcat fans emailed me and told me that the car running 10.71 was not stock. In fact, it had 1000cc injectors and a tune to run on E85. In other words, this Hellcat Challenger is making more than stock power with the MT drag radials helping to put the power to the ground.

If the car was modified this run is not very impressive as there have already been several stock Hellcats running 10:80s with only drag radials.

This is the problem as I mention again and again, once you modify your impressive times are generally dismissed.

Today, while out and about, I stopped by a Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge dealer and they were all commenting on the Z/28. Several of the service dept. and sales people commented on how they thought the Z/28 was a complete package and made the comparison to the Hellcat. So there's no misunderstanding, they made that comparison, not me. Overall, I think they were impressed with it. Maybe its because they were looking at one, some for the first time in person.

Ironically, they spoke of the Hellcat's power negatively stating that its really hard to put all of it down on the ground without loosing control of the car. Quote: " The power is great but the rest of the car is under engineered to control it." One salesman commented on a customer who lost control of his brand new Hellcat when pulling out of the dealership after purchase. Shockingly, all said they would rather have the Z/28 over it because of that (once again, they were looking at a Z/28). They still spoke highly of the Hellcat but none said that that would purchase one if given the chance.
You just happen to take a stroll to a Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge dealer ? Of course they were looking at a Z/28. When a customer pulls up to a dealership regardless of what car you pull in with they will flock. I'm sure your story is true somewhat however most salesmen haven't driven a Hellcat to even know. Similar to Z/28's, they just don't know. I know a lot of ppl whom wouldn't purchase a Z/28 if given a chance unfortunately. Not really a logical choice spending $75K for a Corvette engined Camaro with outdated interior. You hope you get the option for A/C. Smh.

I would like to see a good run for the Hellcat and not have someone mod the car, or have someone say it was. There have been many 10.8's posted times for the Hellcat.

Yeah, I occasionally stop by Jeep dealerships because I own one. As far as my story being somewhat true as you stated, rest assured, that's what happened, no conjecture. No, I wasn't there to trade, I already had my Jeep.

Maybe your experience is different but I don't usually have 15 or so dealership employees from sales, service, parts, and management coming out to check out a vehicle just to talk purely from and interest perspective when I stop by the parts department. We all know that a salesman will come out but they have a purpose of making a sale.

Yeah, I completely understand that the Z/28 isn't for everyone, so no explanation needed there and yes I do have the ac/radio option. Logical choice on purchasing a Z/28 for varying reasons is a matter of opinion, what works for me may not work for you and vice versa.
