And mine isn't an RS package so the body color wouldn't be an option for me.

So if the Vin is A, that would mean 2010? My question is could it have been made as a 2011 and sat for over a year and they had to sell it as a 2010 or something? Because it was 13 months between manufacturing and selling. There isn't any recalls or anything. Confusing as all hell.

You can dismiss the entire 2012 thing by looking good at your intake and exhaust manifold. Black plastic looking IM? Lfx. Aluminum? Llt. Integrated Exhaust manifold? Lfx. "Normal" llt. This is of course assuming it's stock.
Now the whole 2010 vs 2011.. I can't help heh.

I knew he was crazy when he said 2012 because it was manufactured in 2010 lol. But those 2 years right there. I might just call it Televen lol.

Nice looking car no matter what year it is. If the dealer told you it was 2011 and it turns out it is a 2010 I would be a little pissed. In general the older it is the more it depreciates. You may be able to sue him.

You are correct. My 2011 2SSRS does not have a body color antenna

If it has an A, it is a 2010, B is a 2011

2010....I guess someone somewhere gave information out as a 2011 and that is still hanging around somewhere. And I guess I bought a 2010. I'm fixing to go up to the dealer.

Wrong

Also not sure what model you have but if it has a heads up display (HUD) then for sure it's a 2011 cus 2010's don't have that.

The car was made in September 2010, and the first owner purchased it in September 2011 . So I'm so confused on what year my car is lol. I've never not known what year my car is, until this Camaro. Is there an for absolute sure way to figure it out? Websites are all different and its the most confusing mess I've ever seen lol. Thanks guys.
The VIN doesn't lie, but GM was building 2011s in September 2010. 2011 production started June 7, 2010. Where are you getting the production date? If you're getting it from the sticker on the drivers door, does the VIN on that sticker match the VIN at the base of the windshield? If it doesn't, your car may have been wrecked and the drivers door replaced with one from a 2011.

This is not true. 2012 was the year that GM started installing body-colored shark fins, but only on RS coupes. (I think all convertibles have body-colored shark fins) Your car has RS wheels, but it doesn't look like it has RS headlights.

No. Whatever it was manufactured as, is what it is. There's no changing year models after the fact.

This is true, but it only applies to 2LTs and 2SSs(The ones with leather seats.) And of course, it doesn't apply to the ones that have been upgraded with Ofer's kit.

Oh yah that is true I saw it on the convertibles in a magazine and it had colored antenna and then in 2012 it was part of the RS package along with the colored roof lines(yes I know that was also in 2010).
