LOL -- I wish I was in a position to do that or I guess willing to is the more accurate statement. It has been over 20 years since I did anything to a car I owned but add electronics, like GPS and radar. When I was into it, it was a totally different world, no electronics, the cars were long out of warranty, and there were no pollution control laws, not to mention I had a full shop to do the work in as well as the time.

Now my mods are down to a couple of things, and perhaps just one, a rear-spoiler (the dove-tail) and I suspect that would only void the warranty on the paint jobs where the spoiler is mounted. I was going to go for the halo's but it looks like with installation it is nearing a grand, don't want them that bad.

Yes you do have to sift through the thread to find someone who is a "real" motorhead... or just someone like "me" who slept in a Holiday Inn last night.

A little time on the forum and you'll find the guys you can bank on...

Do it in here if you are comfortable...but that's one thing I dont like is that folks flame people looking for information sometimes...some folks just dont know how to search the site..nor do they read the whole forum first..Just ask on the questions..between the folks in THIS thread we can do anything to a car. When I get stumped on a subject I usually just ask Spike.

Well I was going to post it here but thought it might break the protocol of the ho lounge, already did that once with that physics dialog and don't want to get bounced

OK, dumb question #2...

The 2LT I beleive says it needs/wants just regular (87 Octane) gas, my question is 2 part, is there any advantage in using premium (92/93 Octane) and part 2, would that change be enough to throw of all this tuning stuff?

You can talk about anything in here except Street Racing and Politics.
You have some certified motorheads in this thread.. and some that are mods so ask one of us directly and nobody will give you any flack..if you ask generally maybe..but just roll with the punches they mean no harm

CamaroSpike, GTAHAVIT,Milk1027,1320Junkie....we are here to help like everyone else is.

All subjects are fine here , that whole thing was a misunderstanding between me and spike and all is good now (I hope)

BTW -- This is the area I am actually most comfortable on this forum, although the cosmetics thread folks were really outstanding on taking my newbie questions on the Halo's.

On the Halo's $1000 is a bit steep..I used to do them myself for under $150..take the headlights off the car..bake them in the oven to loosen the glue..install Halo's...put them back together

Oh and umm I am allergic to V6's so I cant help you there...lmao..it was a joke...lmao..see joke..roll with it..lmao
