The Heavy Metal Topic \m/ >_< \m/

I've always listened to Heavy Metal, but (as is normal) I also listen to other genres...but I always come back to metal.

When I got my Camaro, it was like a call to return to the fold. I swear it has musical preferences.

Any other metal heads here? What are some of your favorite bands? What are some good live performances you've seen?

I go through phases of revisiting bands, and I'm currently on a Death kick.

Early Hardcore (think Black Flag), Punk, Thrash, Speed Metal, Death Metal. The bands to name a few would be D.R.I., M.O.D., S.O.D., C.O.C., Circle Jerks, Dead Kennedy's, Butthole Surfers, Bad Brains, early Beastie Boys and so on, to the usual suspects in metal like the big 4, Metal Church, Exodus, Testament, Sacred Reich, Sepultura, Bolt Thrower, The Mentors, Nuclear Assault, Kreator, Ministry, Death Angel, Coroner, yes even Iron Maiden, to modern throw back bands like Municipal Waste.

Death and Obituary are huge influences but Jimi Hendrix is my favorite guitar player. Alex Skolnick and Eric Peterson would be the best 2 guitarist duo live.

Igor Cavalera for drums. Live.

Cliff Burton for bass. Live or on record.

Best performance from a band live I've ever seen was Alice in Chains.

To break ranks and turn to other music then the blues. SRV.

I totally agree, this car screams metal. I find myself listening to more music in the camaro than I do in my DD. I love all the 80's metal bands (Iron maiden, Judas Priest, Megadeth, Slayer, Mercyful fate etc.)
Best performance I've seen is probably Judas Priest/Megadeth/Testament when they were on the Painkiller, Rust in peace tour back in the day.
