Hoping it's the start of a good routine for you Jan.

Changed the coolant in the Chevelle today. I'm ready for some hot cruising now.

[QUOTE=RubyCamaro;8293395]Good info. It is probably only a pipe dream for me anyway. Unless I win the lottery.

Ok, Jan, as soon as you hit that big lotto jackpot here's my suggestion. A Medical Vacation! Where? Thailand. Why? Because they have the Best doctors in the world and you can't beat the prices, or the care you'll receive, Bar-None.

Thailand has some of the worlds best medical facilities. Your hospital room, well it's more like a Five Star Hotel, with a staff that will wait on you hand and foot. Ocean view balcony, five star food, and pampering like you've never seen before! Plus you'll see probably dozens of other Americans, as well as folks from pretty much everywhere else in the world, in just your short stay.

Let's talk money, well people with money and those folks of a more modest income choose Thailand not only for its exception standards and care, but for the price as well.

On average you will pay about 30 to 40% less than in the U.S. That's including airfare, all medical procedures, your stay and meals. The only additional monies spent would be whatever great buys you find on clothes, jewelry, or knickknacks etc...

Google medical vacations and Thailand will be at the top of the list. The reviews will all be A+. People go there for every kind of procedure you can think of, heart, kidney, lungs, liver, and yes, cosmetic. They are way ahead of the U.S. And have better and newer equipment.

CNN, Insideman, w/Morgan Spurlock recently did a show on it. If you have on-Demand you can watch it for free.

What could be better! A vacation to an exotic beautiful country, you get treated like a queen, and you save money!

Wow! Who'da thunk it? Sure did not know that. It is actually pretty sad though. The USA should be #1 in medicine but I'm not surprised that is not true. I am surprised that Thailand is the place that is. How in the heck did that happen?

I slept in later this morning than I have in years & dreamed happy dreams all night. I think my body likes the new routine. It rained all day yesterday & is still drizzly this morning. Rivers are up to the banks but so far not flooding. Just house chores planned for today then I need to cook me some high protein healthy in-between meal snacks that I can take to work & do a little Camaro club work. Rather a lazy day. Have a great Saturday crew.

The majority of their doctors have some sort of U.S. Medical schooling like Harvard/Stanford or any of the top schools here. What they don't have is our horrible insurance system and outrageous medical malpractice insurance fees.

Plus most of the medical procedures approved here have been in play everywhere else for sometimes decades. So their doctors have way more experience. It takes forever here, the big companies have to grease the government wheels, and that's a lot of grease if you know what I mean.

We have probably the most corrupt system anywhere in the world. Think of all the hands that have to get a little cash to pass something. Want to be a Millionaire, become a Politician! Funny how they all leave Washington millionaires.

Plus not having a middle man, you pay the hospital directly, is how they allow for reasonable prices. And business is good. Show up for your appointment and you're seen within minutes. All your appointments will be one after the other. Here you'd wait months in between, plus long long wait times when you arrive. They have efficiency down to a science.

When you see their system you realize just how screwed up ours is. Everything is different, from wait times to even the atmosphere of the hospital. It's like checking into a five star hotel, not a hospital.

Nice day for a cruise. The guy that dinged my door several months ago is here, so I haven't left my car.

Today is the St Patrick's day parade here so we will be marching with our Dachshund club and my truck decorated as the Wiener Wagon as usual. Its supposed to be a dry but cold day. I will be getting ready soon so i can get the truck washed because you cant drive a dirty truck down a parade route. I think we have 22 people that said they are coming so that should be over 30 dogs as most of us have more than one.

Next year at the parade I have to leave my tailgate closed to discourage hitchhikers. I had 4 or 5 drunk kids jump on during the route. One girl was sitting on the roof of the truck. I was petrified she might fall off or less importantly dent my roof. Thankfully I went so slow neither happened. Also you would think one of the 50 cops I drove by would have made her get off but no they just wished her a happy St Patrick's day.

Well now that stress is done. Tomorrow will be my last day of work for at least a few weeks as I will check into the hospital at 5:30 am Tuesday morning for my Crainiomoty. Wish me luck I am hoping I can be released on Wednesday night or sometime on Thursday. This will be the first time since 1976 that I will be spending a night in a hospital. Once I get home the Dr told me no physical work of any type for at least 2 weeks. I will try to check in here once I feel well enough to get on a computer.
