What motor would you build for NASCAR if.....

Lets say NASCAR changes the rules and you are allowed to build any engine that you want but it is limited to 750hp and 93 octane gas and you must use that style of engine for all tracks. What would you build for durability, power in the right places, weight, fuel consumption and so on?

No, you can rebuild it or a new one every week but you must use the same design or style every week. So you cant say go from a NA 12 cylinder for Daytona and then use a turbo V6 at Watkins Glen. If you start the year at Daytona with a 12 cylinder NA motor then that's the style of motor you will use at all tracks.

It makes me wonder how much engine technology would advance if you only limited the cars to a certain HP but not limit the design use to get to that HP.

As vanilla as NASCRAP has become over the last few years I would expect them to all be forced to use the Ilmore 396 when all's said and done.
