My best guess is that its going to be an off-road package/sub brand for GMC used on multiple models, like how V-series or SS are the performance packages for Cadillac and Chevrolet. Too bad some people would think its offensive but a "Badass Edition" would probably sell...

GM 2016 VIN cards are showing L86 for Tahoe and a Suburban HD model, plus Cruze/Malibu Limiteds following in the W-body Impala Limited's footsteps.

Okay, that one threw me for a loop. I thought you were saying the Cruze and Malibu were getting the L86 as part of a limited edition, lol. I am all better now.

Keep seeing this engine pop up, and zero details.

I'm guessing it will be a few months or more before we start getting power and efficiency estimates for this engine...hope I'm wrong.
