Thanks for the congrats on the CHL. I learned A LOT in that class, I highly recommend anyone who's into shooting take one of them, you will learn some new things.

Hollow points are without question, definitely will be scooping those up.

Anyone familiar with Rugers or H&K's? I definitely want to get what I pay for when it comes to a concealed carry.

I was even thinking a compact 9mm? Any thoughts on those?
Ruger and H&K are good guns, sometimes a little pricy. Glock is also a good choice. The best for concealed cary will always be a revolver, you never have to worry about them jaming and they will almost always shoot when you pull the trigger. With that said, I still prefer a semiauto.

When concealed carrying, I see Hallow points as a must. Unlike round nose or wad cutters, HPs will not go through a target. They will mushroom when they impact with anything. This minimizes your chances of hitting something behind your target.

As for compact 9mm, Glock 19, Beretta PX4 Storm Compact, H&Ks, etc... are all good guns. Just find the one that you like the best and fits you the best. Once you got your gun, try several different brands and grains of ammo and find the one your gun likes best. Generally speaking, 124 grain is usually good enough for the common 9mm gun. Only reason I wouldn't choose 115 grain with concealed cary is because with some guns it can at times not be enough the rack that slide all the way back at times.

Sheesh that's weak. I'm also waiting on stuff ordered from Japan for my RC car. Only place I could find the parts I need to make it run as its a fairly old chassis and it was never really sold well in the USA. They're currently in NY according to the tracking info.
