You can also unplug the remote after you choose your best setting.
Only need the remote if you need to change the setting again. |

Maybe a dumb question - I assume the unit shuts off (display) when car is turned off???

I tried setting mine to SP09 and removing the remote and it went back to SP0 when I tested it. When I plugged the remote back in it was at SP0 so I assumed removing the remote would not work. So you should be able to set the controller and remove the remote and it will keep the setting? |

is the remote wire long enough to run it through the center console.

no. all it does is make it seem like you gave it more throttle than you did. more throttle for less movement of the pedal.
