Just some FORD hatin'
"Romeo 605 blown 5.4L crate engine appears in Ford Racing catalog
Ford Racing has added a new toy to the catalog, the Romeo 605 crate engine. As the name implies this one is built at Ford's Romeo MI engine plant alongside the the other 5.4L supercharged V8s used in the Mustang GT500. This fully dressed crate engine forms the basis of the Shelby Super Snake and the upcoming limited run Cobra Jet drag car. In its current form the engine puts out 605hp thanks to the installation of a new supercharger. The supercharger is an Eaton 2.3L unit for four lobe rotors. The rotors have 160 degrees of twist. If those specs sound vaguely familiar, that because it matches the unit GM is installing on the LS9 engine for the ZR1 Corvette. This one is of course not street legal and is intended for off-road use. At 605hp and 550lb-ft, Ford claims this is the most powerful off the shelf modular motor yet. At a list price of $18,150 it may also be the most expensive running almost the same price as a base V6 Mustang. Thanks to Paul for the tip!" http://www.autoblog.com/ Are you telling me FORD can't make a street-legal supercharged small block that makes as much power as GM's small block? It would be one thing if this engine made that power and was legal, but it isn't...

What makes a legal engine anyways? By the way...the GM block still has almost a full liter on the Ford and don't even try to argue that that doesn't matter.

you want some Ford hatin'?..
just paid near $4k for a new transmission in my damn '98 taurus, got it back, and the damn thing wouldn't hardly start, Lol. got the work done at the dealer (i know thats expensive but at least you get a better garuntee, depending) it ran real good after we got the new transmission in..after we got it started, the first time. Come the morning, it would barely start to even move it out to the street to have it towed to the ford dealership. so yeah. next time I have anything major done to that taurus im gonna drive it around the block a few times before i take it home. luckily the Re-repair was warranty'd and we get fixed what they forgot. it was probably some piece someone left out I just hope to have it back & running soon, driving a lexus ES330 as my substitute right now, and gosh damn that thing is a S L U G comfortable as hell but DEFINITELY a GIANT SLUG. great sound system tho it's a great car, but i definitely like a more maneuverable car. I'd still rather have the taurus back ..and I can't believe i said that =/ I'm definetly gonna get that taurus fixed up lookin real pretty once i get it back. after i fix the door of course =/ *SIGH* where's my ford hatin' you ask?.. we pay big $$ for a new transmission and the car doesnt work. die ford die cept i need that stupid ford to get me to work and school lol.
